PBIS Parent Info - As mentioned above, we have a set of school-wide behavioral expectations that we all follow during the school day. We also have a district-wide anti-bullying curriculum called Olweus. Click here to view the details of our PBIS and Olweus programs.
MacBook Pro Laptop Giveaway - If you attended our Supply Drop-Off and Parent Information Night last Thursday, you know that this year we are giving away a MacBook Pro laptop through Title I. Each time your family attends one of our Title I events, you will have a chance to win. We will choose the lucky winner live at our last PBIS Celebration.
Email Us – Contact any member of the Cumberland staff by email, just type in the last name of the individual and their first initial, and follow that with @d62.org. For example, if you would like to email Connie Harford in the main office, her address is [email protected].
Box Tops - Please continue to collect Box Tops for Education. Our PTO has earned between $700-$1,000 per year from these tiny coupons that really do add up.
New D62 Policy Changes - Please be aware that beginning this year, the following District 62 policy changes go into effect:
- Food At School - Teachers are prohibited from using food as an incentive or reward for students at school and during school day hours. Additionally, students are prohibited from bringing food treats to school for birthday celebrations or any other celebrations during school day hours. In lieu of food treats, students may bring non-edible treats such as stickers, pencils, erasers, or books. If you have any questions about what non-edible treats students may bring to school, please consult with your student's classroom teacher.
- Student Dress Code - Students are expected to wear opaque clothing that covers them from shoulder to mid-thigh. Hats, caps, bandanas and head coverings (with the exception of those worn for religious, cultural and/or medical reasons) are not allowed to be worn inside the school building.
