To schedule an appointment, call (847) 824-1205. Walk-ins are welcome. The Pfizer vaccine will be available for those 12 years of age and over and the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available for those 18 years of age and over. If you cannot make this event, find a clinic near you by visiting www.coronavirus.illinois.gov Hotline at (833) 621-1284.
Lockdown Drill - Our staff and students will be taking part in the first of two lockdown drills on Monday, October 4 @ 10:00. Our school resource officer will be present during these drills to ensure that we are in compliance with state mandates.
Student Lunch Trays - For lunch, half of our students eat in the hallway on a provided towel while the other half are in classrooms. This is necessary to keep a 6 foot social distance when masks are off and these groups switch off every week. If you would like your child to have a lap tray when he/she is eating in the hallway, you can send one to school. It must fit into your child's locker, which is 9.5" wide x 11.5" deep. Your child is responsible for cleaning their tray after each use and it must be stored in their locker. One example is this lap tray from Michaels, (available at Randhurst), and these do fit into our lockers.
Educational Resources - We would like to send a big "Thank You" to the Cumberland PTO for renewing our school-wide licenses of BookFlix and Watch & Learn. Both of these programs can be accessed by students at home. The username is cumberland and the password is also cumberland (all lower case). These sites offer fun and educational books, games, puzzles, and videos for children.
Spirit Wear On Sale Now - Every Friday, our staff and students are invited to show school pride by wearing Cumberland spirit shirts. Click here for online ordering that ends at the end of the day on Friday, September 24. Due to supply shortages, there are fewer options this year.
