Substitute Teachers Needed - If you have a Bachelor's degree, please consider applying for a position as a substitute teacher for District 62. This is a great opportunity to remain flexible and pick the days that you are available to work. Click here if you would like to apply for a substitute teacher position. Click here to view the flyer for the D62 Substitute Fair scheduled for Monday, December 18 from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Box Top Winners - We would like to congratulate Miss Moskal's 4th grade class for brining in the highest ratio of Box Tops for the first trimester. Together those students collected 526 Box Tops! Great job boys and girls, enjoy your chosen reward with your teacher. Please keep those Box Tops coming, each one really make a difference for our school!
Winter Reminders - Students will be waiting outside in line before school, and going outside during lunch recess, if the temperature is above 10 degrees (including wind chill). We do not allow children to play in the snow or on the snow mounds at recess unless they are wearing snow pants and boots. This prevents them from sitting in wet clothing during their afternoon instruction.
Title I Night Attendance Winner - Mrs. Andersen's 4th graders were announced as having the highest Cumberland classroom attendance rate at the D62 Title I Family Fun Night in early November. Congratulations boys and girls and thank you for participating in this fun event!
Reading Logs Due Soon - The Six Flags Read To Succeed Program will come to an end in two weeks. Participating students will need to read a total of 6 hours before Friday, December 15. Each child meeting their goal will receive a free ticket to Six Flags Great America. Happy Reading!!!!
