Halloween - Click here for a full list of Halloween events and costume restrictions. Kindergarten students will not be in attendance on Halloween and will celebrate the day before. This flyer will also be coming home next week in backpacks. Please note that again this year, clown costumes will not be allowed. Click here for the detailed message from Dr. Williams.
Title 1 Family Fun Night - We hope you can join us for the D62 Family Fun Night on Wednesday, November 1st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Algonquin Middle School. This family event will feature a fun and educational opportunity for the entire family. See the links below for more information and to access the RSVP form on page 2. Click the appropriate link for English, Spanish, and Polish. We hope to see you at this fun event for the entire family!
Book Fair Thank You - The PTO would like to thank the following people for generously donating their time and helping with the book fair: Cheri Cory, Bridget Tully, Theresa Wager, Jill Lindenmuth, Julie Searcy, Libby Franceschi, Carrie McHaley, Patty Wedge, and Danielle Young. Without parent volunteers the book fair and other events wouldn’t be possible; thank you again for donating your time!
PTO Halloween Bash - Save the date for Friday, October 27th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The cost is $10 per family, which includes $5 in tickets to use at the event. There will be a costume contest, dancing, games, crafts, a cakewalk, and more! However, we need parent volunteers to make this a success! Click here if you are willing to sign up to help out at the event. Don't worry if you've never done it before; someone will quickly get you up to speed!
Cake Walk Donations Needed - We are in need of dessert items for the cake walk at the Halloween Bash. We would appreciate 4-6 items on a wrapped paper plate with a label with the name of the item and ingredients (for allergies). Purchased donations are welcome too. Bring these to the Halloween Bash or donate to the office on Friday, October 27th at the end of the school day. The more donations the better. The kids LOVE this game, and your sweets are the prize!
SPARK Phone - If you have a child in our SPARK before/after school child care program, there is a direct phone number to reach the supervisors. Our Cumberland direct line is 847-824-7852.
After School Programs - Last calendar year, the Cumberland PTO was able to offer art and chess enrichment classes after school. However, in order to run these programs again, we need parent volunteers. If you are interested please email [email protected]. This would require about 1 hour a week of your time for 10 weeks.
