ABC Countdown - By now you have probably seen the ABC Countdown to the end of the year that was sent from your child's classroom teacher. This year, we have included items that can be done at home. This countdown is always a favorite for our students and we hope they will join along. Even though we are doing the tasks remotely, we are together in Cumberland spirit.
Zoom With Students - D62 teachers are now able to use Zoom to communicate with students. It is optional at this point, but some of our teachers will be reaching out about Zoom meetings in the near future. Student privacy is of the utmost importance so please do not record any of these sessions on your phone or take pictures of students in a Zoom meeting and post on social media.
Chicago Bears Challenge - The Bears Organization has create a program called The Bears Fit Youth Challenge for children to help them stay active during their time at home. Ms. Duggan has put together some fun activities that your child might enjoy, click here to see the details.
Mystery Reader - One of our Cumberland staff members created this video for our K-2 students. Can your child guess the identity of the Mystery Reader?
20-21 Student Registration - District 62 online registration is open for the 2020-2021 school year. For returning students, click here to review the registration process and get started. New students and entering kindergarteners will be registered utilizing a paper process. The registration forms for New Students Only are available on the following website. Payments of cash or check can be made as soon as school is reopened. Feel free to call the main office at (847) 824-1451 and leave a voicemail if you have any questions or need help with the registration process. Gloria Carrillo checks the office voicemails remotely and will return your call.

Virtual PTO Meeting - The last PTO meeting of the year will be held virtually at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 4th. Please email Mrs. White at [email protected] if you would like to attend and she will send you a link to join the meeting.
Des Plaines Public Library Opportunities - The Des Plaines Public Library is conducting an at home reading club that your children may enjoy. Homemade Art Materials - Are your children looking ways to show off their creativity during the stay at home order?
